In the language of the SS and the camp, newly received prisoners at the camp were referred to as "new arrivals" (Zugang, pl. Zugänge). The names of the deportees were recorded in so-called arrival lists. People who were selected and immediately sent to the gas chambers were not recorded in the arrival lists.
